I’m just recently jumping on the Skype bandwagon and thought I’d download it the other day and try it out. I’ve got to say that I think that it is a pretty cool program and look forward to putting it to use to it’s full potential in the near future. The whole process was simple from the install to the setup and I didn’t have any complaints along the way until I signed in for the first time. Where and the world did all these contacts come from?
I don’t know about you all, but I have a pretty large address book in my Outlook. It took me a minute or so to realize that everyone in my address book was automatically imported into Skype by default. That’s no good for me since I really only want to use it for my online contacts, acquaintance’s, and partners. After doing a little searching around and playing with the different menus I was able to find the option to disable this feature and thought I’d share it with you all.
To remove this option simply click on the View option on the menu bar then un-tick the Show Outlook Contacts. Thats it. You should notice that all those pesky little outlook contacts go away now and you can concentrate on the Skype contacts that you want.
